Booker T. Hunt Sr. is the esteemed founder, owner, and operator of Booker T Hunt Funeral Homes, serving the community with dedication and professionalism. A graduate of Archer Community High School, he pursued his passion at Atlanta College of Mortuary Science before gaining hands-on experience through an apprenticeship at Hillman and Pratt in Jacksonville, FL. His commitment to education led him to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science from Edward Waters College and a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis on Science from FAMU in 1966. With a strong foundation in both science and funeral services, he continues to uphold the highest standards of care and compassion for the families he serves.

Tonia L. Parks

Executive Secretary, Future Embalmer and Funeral Director

Tonia L. Parks is a lifelong resident of Newberry, Florida, where she was born and raised. She graduated from Newberry High School in 1984 and later enrolled and graduated from Florida State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. She is currently in the last semester at St. Petersburg College of Funeral Services and holds a concurrent intern license as a funeral director and Embalmer. Tonia possesses an exceptional ability to bring forth a comfortable environment for families by providing an abundance of information, superior care, and a broad range of resources.
